March 2008 saw the entry of Makhubu
Logistics into the road freight industry
when we completed the acquisition of,
and took over the business of
freightdynamics and Container Services
(Pty) Ltd, a road freight and container
services business then owned by
Transnet, as a going concern. The new
business will continue to trade under
the name freightdynamics.
Makhubu Logistics is owned by
professionals who have chosen to be
governed and live by strong and solid
values. These include integrity in word
and deed; lifting the best in each of our
employees; configuring our services
around our client’s needs; and delivering
a comprehensive “one stop shop” freight
logistics solution. We strive to form
mutually beneficial relationships with all
of our stakeholders so that we can
maximise shareholder value and return.
The erstwhile freightdynamics and
Container Services business offered short
and long road freight haulage services
across three sectors - fuel, containers,
and cargo (general and refrigerated).
Makhubu will move towards offering a
suite of services that include customs
clearances, freight forwarding,
warehousing, and sea and air freight to
complete the freightdynamics service
offering in the logistics industry.
We believe that understanding our
clients’ needs and delivering over and
above their expectations is what will set
Makhubu Logistics apart from our
competitors. At the heart of such service
will be a continual improvement on our
rallying mantra - “delivering on time, in
